Supercharging Execution through Collaboration
This full-day workshop introduces the Xform collaboration model, a simple, systematic approach to collaboration that any team can succeed with. The instructor leads students on an interactive exploration of the four Xform disciplines (best practices, process management, infrastructure, and organizational development) and how to apply them to ensure high powered collaborations.
Beginning with the attributes that distinguish collaborations from other group activities, the workshop introduces key enabling concepts that are the foundation of all successful collaborations. The workshop then explores key collaboration best practices including processes for ensuring effective meetings. The workshop proceeds next to examine the role of a collaboration life cycle and the collateral necessary to make it effective, including a lessons-learned-based process improvement approach.
Moving on from there, the workshop introduces key infrastructure elements such as document management, decision analysis, and measuring the effectiveness of the collaboration. It concludes with a discussion of organization dynamics issues such as establishing a shared vision, recognition and reward, empowerment, and accountability.
