The specification regulates activities related to minimizing the environmental impact of a process through the identification of environmental aspects and actions to address risks. The procedure is based on the environmental-aspect requirements of ISO 14001:2026 Environmental management systems — Requirements with guidance for use.

(The specification is not required for organizations that have a certified environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001:2026.)
