The textbook summarizes the long-term scientific and pedagogical experience of representatives of well-known scientific schools of the National Technical University of Ukraine "KPI. Igor Sikorsky", founded by Academician Eugene Paton (welding) and Academician Lev Antropov (corrosion and protection of metals). The textbook is mainly based on the use of fundamental scientific approaches and concepts that were the basis of modern theories of corrosion and welding of metals, the practice of their use in creating corrosion-resistant materials, welded structures, development of methods of corrosion protection of metals and alloys.
