Description

Procedure for controlling service provision under ISO 9001:2026 — covering controlled conditions, validation, identification and traceability, customer property, preservation of process outputs, and post-delivery activities. For processes affecting the environment or climate change, the procedure now requires ongoing monitoring and minimization of environmental impact as part of meeting service delivery conditions.

The Technical Director owns the process and chairs the Technical Council, which validates service delivery, reviews interim results, and handles customer complaints and changes; Project Managers operate individual service engagements against approved methodologies.

Who Needs This Procedure

This procedure is for organizations implementing ISO 9001:2026 that need a documented approach to delivering services under controlled conditions — covering infrastructure, working environment, identification and traceability, customer property, validation of special processes, and post-delivery activities like customer communication and complaint handling.

The 2026 edition adds environmental-impact monitoring for service processes affecting the environment or climate change — the same framework used across QPS 10.1-01 Environmental Impact Monitoring and QPS 8.4-01 Control of External Providers.
